Helite Turtle 2 Airbag Vest Black (Mechanical Trigger)

Like it alot. Does hinder my neck a bit with the helmet on, but its a small price to pay for the amount of added safety. Doesn't look dorky either like I thought it might.

We are thrilled with our purchase. My husband uses his every day now and says he feels so much more safer on his bike. I also have a felling of security when he goes out on his bike now. I don't feel like he's such a sitting duck!

I am impressed with the quality of the product, I am waiting on my motorcycle so I haven't attached it yet, but it fits comfortably, and as long as it works, I can easily see how it could save your life.

We just received my husbands vest today and I am so pleased with it. He honestly thought it was a stupid idea until I had him try it on, we pulled the string to inflate the vest to make sure it fit him right and he knew how to re-attach a new cartridge if needed. Once the vest went off his whole attitude changed, he couldn’t wobble his head around and all his vital organs and his spine are cushioned. I believe his exact reaction was “woah, that was fast.” He went out for a ride tonight after attaching a new cartridge and wore the vest hooked up to his bike with no complaints or groans. This is his first bike, and I’ll admit I don’t love it, I think they are too dangerous, but this helps ease my mind a little. It may seem costly, but he can’t be replaced and I’d pay anything to know he has better chance of walking away from an accident if one occurred. I’d recommend.

This is a great vest. I'm a medium in jacket size and I bought a medium sized vest, which easily fits over my jacket, and barely feels like there is anything there. I like the look of it, and the high viz aspect, even though I got the black variant. I hope I don't have to use it, but I am glad it's there in case I do.

Easy to set up the tether on my Ducati Monster. The vest itself is comfortable and pretty low profile. Material is quite sturdy, Hope not to test it, Looking forward to the electronic version.

Fortunately, I cannot review the effectiveness of this device. Hopefully, I’ll never be in that position. I can say that the quality looks and feels good and that it is surprisingly comfortable—more so because it allows me to remove the back armor from my jacket. The fit is a bit snug but it may be that I am in denial about moving on from size medium.

I had wanted to buy one of these for a while but could not afford one until now. I absolutely love it, it is very well built and after you ride with it on for about 5 minutes you forget that it is there. It is actually more comfortable then just a jacket since you can take the back protector out of your jacket. I feel much safer knowing that if I get chucked off my bike I will bounce across the ground like the Michelin man. Patrick from customer service helped me figure out if it fit me right by looking at pictures of how it fit on me. Great product, I would recommend to anyone, spend the money, you're worth it!

I T-boned a car which turned left in front of me. 35 mph in busy intersection I hit a small SUV on right rear panel above rear wheel. I remember a car crossing center line and then me braking hard but could not avoid colliding with the car. Next thing I remember, I was surrounded by emergency response people, fire truck, ambulance and a police cruiser. But I was standing up, no pain other than left knee and ankle. I did wear full protective gear including Helite Airbag vest which I noticed had gone off. A couple days later my upper body muscles were sore. I know I hit the pavement hard. Boots were unfortunately steel toe work boots which did not protect my ankle. Bike was totaled but I was able to go work same day.
Airbag vests should be mandated by law. I will never ride without one. Now we have Helite vest for both me and my wife.
